I’m doing an experiment in which KI and FeCl3 are mixed together and
the reaction progress is monitored with a spectrophotometer so the empirical rate law can be found. The maximum wavelength is 430 nm, and there’s a discussion question asking why 430 nm was chosen and “what chemical species it corresponds to”. Can someone help?
