Please do note that a Precis is a “precise summary” in your own words. You do not need to quote the article in your Precis, but rather summarize it in your own words. Please follow all of the steps, including taking careful notes as you read, and drafting your Precis from your notes, rather than from the text. This is an important preview literary research skill.
