internet for customers to connect with suppliers in UAE.  The project provides final recommendations needed to support the requirements that will be identified in the research findings. The primary objectives of the ServiceMEsystem are to: Connecting customers and suppliers via a search engine, through quote request and making service information accessible to users. Provide the user with automated business processes when connectivity to each other
Research was undertaken to develop a set of requirements, both functional and non-functional. The requirements, factoring in associated risks and issues, make the basis of the recommendations.
The dawn of the information age has been progressive enabling easier information search on products and services, with search engines and tailored sites revealing a list of potential providers for consumers to evaluate.  ServiceMEaims to take this one step further, as a B2C broker. ServiceMEis a web based service which allows a potential customer to log in, search for a particular service, and has that request sent to qualified suppliers, who will then provide quotes for the work.  The system will allow customers to view ratings, previous projects and customer comments from the contractors. The main complaint about the search engines (Google, Yahoo etc) and the directory searches (Yellow Pages, Local Search) is the lack of interactivity.  It is rare to find a service which allows you to search by type, by location, by rating, by availability and by recommendation.  The different services may offer some of these features, but it is rare to find all of them. ServiceMEaims to provide a service which offers an automated sourcing of local, reputable and available suppliers.  Customers benefit by having an appropriate supplier chosen for them (or they can browse through a selection), whilst the suppliers receive leads to real projects.  Even if the revenue model of ServiceMEhas not been analysed thoroughly yet , one of the options include having a supplier who would pay on a “per lead” basis, and would be willing to do so because the work is real and immediate, and would eliminate many of the “tyre kicker” quotes that a supplier would face day to day.  ……. ….. The project will covers the system requirements in which ServiceMEmay need in order to have the functionality that its key users need; the “suppliers” are businesses that will want to register in ServiceMEto advertise and create leads through the website and the “customers” who can choose to register with ServiceMEin order gain access to numerous numbers of suppliers. Source Description Service ServiceMEwill not specialise in a specific service and hence will support any type of project that the customer wishes to undertake The Mission To provide digital solutions to business in UAE, key areas include: website development, web design, application design, branding, online solutions, strategic consulting and project management. The Problem The trigger of ServiceMEsystem results in the experience that the customer will deal with when looking for services. For example,if a clienthas his bathroom broken. In order to look for a service on the web, he will search for services on the Google search engines. The problems he will face are: A huge list of service providers, no feedback about who is the best one. Solution ServiceMEwill act as a broker. The creation of ServiceMEwho will sell any services to customers through an innovative reverse-process that allows a customer to submit a time-limited service or project to an anonymous pool of suppliers. Through an automated system, ServiceMEthen searches the suppliers’ databases to find the best available suppliers for the service. Based on its own decision rules (feedback and hits), the ServiceMEsystem determines whether or not to allow the service provider to quote for the customer. Customer can accept the quote ServiceMEsends and decides whether it is suitable and undertake the service if necessary. The project is undertaken to investigate if ServiceMEa service portal will be a viable search engine/dynamic directory, which will allow customers and suppliers to connect with each other and suppliers and suppliers to connect with each other via the internet allowing: ·         Customers to log into ServiceMEenter their service needs details and wait for a supplier to respond to take on the job. ·         A supplier to use the ServiceMEservice to advertise their company, services, prices and provide quotes to the general public via the internet ·         Allow a supplier to manage day to day business via the internet where they can: §  Provide quotes §  Retention of customers §  Choose the jobs they want The creation of system requirements and recommendations are based on the analysis of the key areas below, as per the agreed Initial Plan: ·         Connectivity between users and the system, ·         External Analysis using Competitive Analysis of other similar services and their features and functions, ·         Marketability of ServiceMEin terms of prospect usage, customers and suppliers ·         Risks and Issues in the systems ·         Provision of a dynamic web solution, which addresses these key criterion: §  The supplier to connect with its potential/existing customers, §  The customer to with potential/existing suppliers and; §  Connect suppliers with other suppliers, thus allowing greater flexibility of how businesses conduct daily business activities and for customers’ to have greater control of who they want to contract to complete the work ·         Provision of solution for automated business process for ServiceME, this will cover: §  Data repository §  Process Maps §  Opportunities for process improvements in the future This project will not include: ·         Design and Implementation Constraints ·         User Documentation ·         Development of the Web Portal ServiceME. ·         High Level Internet Security for entire web page with secure hypertext design and use of SSL. ·         Implementation of a web server at the client’s side to host the website.
